Dr.
Richard L. Resurreccion
has been a life safety, technology and emergency management human
resource development consultant for over a quarter of a century. He
received his Doctor of Education degree from the University of Maryland,
College Park and is a member of five professional and academic honor
societies. Dr. Resurreccion is a California State University, Long
Beach Professor Emeritus; he has also taught at the University of
Maryland, College Park; California State University, Los Angeles;
the University of Tennessee, Knoxville; and the University of Hawaii,
Manoa. He has been an HRD consultant for such organizations as the
Los Angeles City Fire Department, Las Vegas Fire Department, Los Angeles
County Department of Health Services, Nevada Fire Chiefs' Association,
and the National Fire Academy/TRADE. He is past Chair and Member (1985-87)
of the Orange County Emergency Medical Care Committee (EMS Commission)
and served as a volunteer preceptor training instructor for the Los
Angeles County Paramedic Training Institute (1983-93). He is Honorary
Chief of the Clark County, NV Fire Department and is the 1990 "Ed
Bent Fire Service Instructor of the Year."
